Mustang Candle
For years and years, I have wanted to see wild horses. Then finally in 2019, I attended a photography workshop in the Eastern Sierras, south of Lake Tahoe. The workshop literally had all of my favorite things. We drove down a bumpy dirt road to an abandoned barn, saw wranglers sorting the spring calves, visited a few lakes and then finally drove out to a valley with a watering hole known to draw mustangs. When we got there many youngsters were playing and challenging each other, babies quietly stayed by their mothers and the lead stallion watched over his herd. After the initial flurry of photos I sat down in the sun to watch them move amongst each other. While I was still an outsider it couldn’t keep the curious ones from getting close enough for me to snap a few photos. I look forward to traveling the world to photograph horses of all kinds, but I’ll never forget that first batch of mustangs.
This candle is infused with natural essential oils, including fir needle, cedarwood, eucalyptus, patchouli, and cedar leaf.
